- ■ by BERNY TORRE berny.torre@dailystar.co.uk

THE Queen is flogging Christmas hampers that cost up to £70 more than their individual contents.

Her Majesty’s official website is selling the traditional baskets of goodies for £75, £125 and £175.

The small £75 basket contains mince pies, a wooden spoon, strawberry jam, chocolate praline crowns, handbag shortbread, afternoon loose leaf tea and a Christmas tea towel. But all the items can be bought individually on the web page for a total of just £42.20.

The £125 hamper is even worse value.

It contains extra chocolates, shortbread and tea.

But bought individually, all the items add up to £57.65 – an eye-watering mark-up of £67.35.
