What a dangerous a**e they’ll remember you as

JEREMY Clarkson has told climate change activist Greta Thunberg to “go back to school and shut up”.

The Grand Tour host stepped up his attack on the 16-year-old campaigner, branding her “mad and dangerous”.

Loudmouth Clarkson added: “She is causing young children sleepless nights.

“I think she needs to go back to school and shut up.”

But nature presenter Chris Packham blasted back at the petrolhead.

He tweeted: “I know you’ll be thinking I’m ‘weird’ & a ‘stupid idiot’ too but I suggest you sit down and have a think about what a dangerous and unpleasant a**e you’ll be remembered as by your grandchildren.”

Despite his rant, Clarkson admitted filming in south-east Asia recently had changed his views on climate change.

The Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? host had denied the existence of climate change for years. His U-turn came after he went in a jet boat across a lake that had shrunk to the depth of a puddle. In a TV interview, he said: “I don’t think I have ever actually seen the effect of global warming. “When you see those houses on stilts in the show… and the water is miles away, that is a remarkable thing. And I know there will be a load of kids who go, ‘Ha, you see? There you are.’ Fine.” Clarkson has also admitted he would go on I’m A Celebrity. He told The Jonathan Ross Show: “We all say no now because we’ve all got jobs. If you’re down the line and somebody said, ‘Here’s a hundred thousand pounds to go and eat some maggots,’ count me in!”

The Jonathan Ross Show is on ITV tomorrow at 10.25pm.
