JUNGLE runner-up Andy Whyment wants to go back to being a “normal bloke” and will spend his earnings on paying off his mortgage.

The Corrie actor says he has no interest in the glitzy world of showbiz despite his stay in camp with megastars like Caitlyn Jenner.

Instead Andy, 38, is desperate to get back to his hometown of Manchester.

He said: “I’m looking forward to getting back and just getting into my normal boring life of just getting home from work, closing the front door and sitting on the sofa and watching telly. That’s my life.”

The actor, reportedly on £120,000 a year as Kirk Sutherland, also revealed that his motives were partly to make his family more stable financially.

Busking

Dad-of-two Andy added:

“I know my profile is probably going to be higher now.

I didn’t do it for that reason.

“I’ll still remain myself.

“I’ll still go to Asda on a

Friday and do the big shop with my wife.”

Music bosses are said to be circling Andy for a multi-album record deal.

But he said “thanks, but no thanks” despite a previous sideline in busking.

He added: “I did it just because I love

I’m A Celeb, and just to experience it and I’ve done that now.

“And yeah, what you see is what you get. “There’s no airs and graces and that’s what has made me so pleased and privileged that people have voted for me.”

In camp, Andy replied to megastar Caitlyn Jenner talking about her eye-wateringly expensive car collection by joking about his run-ofthe-mill Kia Ceed.

And he has no plans to upgrade his motor. Andy said: “Corrie’s on series link so I’ll be catching up on that. I always do.

“I’ve always said I watch Corrie as a fan.

I’m looking forward to catching up and finding out what’s gone on.”
