IT’S refreshing to hear about a loaded celebrity actually paying taxes properly.

Mega-millionaire Ed Sheeran could have saved himself a hell of a lot of cash by finding a dodgy loophole like many footballers and A-listers. But the good guy of pop forks out a hefty amount to HMRC. Clearly the Shape Of You star is earning a decent wage – he paid himself £17million. But he is one of the most talented showmen in Britain and he deserves it. Ed puts to shame levy-avoiding stars who use schemes to cut their bill. These shysters should be embarrassed by their behaviour. They don’t have to worry about using NHS hospitals, public transport or state schools after they become famous. But their fans do. They owe it to them, the people who pay their wages, to cough up the right amount of tax.
