I SAW WIFE SLIP AWAY

THE husband of a woman swept to her death in flooding last month has told how she “slipped away”.

Michael Hall’s wife Annie, 69, struggled to keep her footing after getting out of their stranded car in the

River Derwent near Matlock, Derbys. Michael, 77, said: “She just slipped away, so I was then on my own.”
