He reckons they could help inject fun into the flagging programme, which has struggled with ratings this year.
The finale had almost two million fewer viewers than the previous year’s episode and the series shed viewers throughout its run.
Andy said: “I think Si Gregson would be amazing in there, but I don’t know whether he would be able to handle it. “Because it is really, really intense. I’d also love Alan Halsall to go in there. But he’d struggle because he was veggie for years.”
Andy, 38, won’t be fazed by his new-found stardom, adding: “It won’t change me. I’ll still go to Asda on a Friday, do the big shop with (wife) Nick.”
