Dodgers busted

MORE than 8,600 rail fare dodgers have been caught during a 28-day crackdown – in just one county.

Officers and rail staff busted an average of more than 300 ticketless passengers per day in the operation across stations in Kent.

The joint clampdown by British Transport Police and Southeaste­rn led to more than 6,600 penalty fares being issued.
