■ MARKS and Spencer has been accused of false advertising over a sparse Christmas tree.
M&S ads for the tree, above left, which comes pre-lit and with 59 decorations, promise a “sparkling surprise”. ■ But the £35 bundle failed to impress Aniela Jasionowicz, 29, of Cheshunt, Herts.
M&S have given the family a full refund and a £10 voucher as a goodwill gesture. ■ A spokesman said: “We’re sorry to hear Ms Jasionowicz was disappointed with how her tree looked after she assembled it.”
