HOTSHOT JOTA IS AIMING FOR MOUR

- ■ by DAVE ARMITAGE

JOSE MOURINHO has been warned he could get stung by Wolves’ Portuguese Man o’ War.

Striker Diogo Jota is a man in a hurry and now has Tottenham in his sights.

Jota has scored five goals in his last two games, including a stunning 11-minute hat-trick in the 4-0 Europa League victory over Besiktas.

Molineux midfielder Ruben Neves, another one of Wolves’ Portuguese pack, says that when Jota (inset) is hot he can send shivers down the spine of any defence.

Neves said: “Diogo’s a great player, he’s shown that already. That’s his second hattrick for Wolves. He was brought on to make something happen – and he certainly did that.

“It was great for us and for him. He’s such a great player and deserves all good in his career.

“His confidence is on a higher level right now because of the goals and that’s really good for us. He showed that by scoring twice against Brighton in our last league game.

“He’s looking good right now. We know Spurs are a great team, and it should be a great game the way both sides play, but we’ll try to do our job and get the result.”

Wolves’ Portuguese boss Nuno Espirito Santo knows Mourinho from their time together at Porto and says it is great to see ‘The Special One’ back in the Premier League.

Nuno said: “Of course it’s nice to see him back. He’s one of the greatest managers of all time and it will be a pleasure to see him here.

“I don’t have to say anything about what he has done in the game. I haven’t spoken to him recently because there’s always too much work to do.

“We play so much football that it’s hard but we will catch up after the game.”

Wolves go into the clash on the back of an 11-game unbeaten run but Nuno is refusing to get carried away.

He said: “We always think we can improve and do things better. That’s what drives us on.”
