Traore to hand United a quick KO

NUNO ESPIRITO SANTO has promised Manchester United another front row seat for The Fast Show.

The Wolves boss says flying winger Adama Traore can play a key role in handing United another FA Cup KO at Molineux today.

Wolves beat United in the sixth round last season on their march to the semi-finals and have beaten them twice and drawn twice in their last four meetings.

Nuno is hoping for more of the same and says Traore’s nomination for Premier League player of the month couldn’t be more deserved.

The 23-year-old is so rapid that even his Wolves boss has told him enough is enough!

Nuno said: “He’s doing well. I’m delighted he’s in contention for this award because he deserves it. He’s a fantastic player and hard working.

“Can he get even quicker? I don’t think so. Nothing is impossible but he’s already fast. There are a lot of aspects he should improve but not his speed.”

When Traore flicks the turbo switch he’s scary but he’s now added an end product to his blistering runs – although Nuno takes little credit.

“It’s not me who took Traore to a higher level,” he said.

“He was the one that really made it happen. It’s all down to the player.

“If we deserve some credit, it’s for the confidence that we have in him.

“Mistakes are part of the growing process. If we had given up, it would have been a huge mistake for us. We have total faith in him.”

It’s been virtually all highs since Nuno arrived at Molineux but last year’s semi-final heartache against Watford at Wembley was a real low.

They looked to be cruising to the final, leading 2-0 with 11 minutes to go before crashing out 3-2 in extra-time. He added: “We overcame it, but it was like grief – very sad.

“Everybody involved felt that. Two days later we played at Southampton and didn’t perform. We weren’t able to raise ourselves again.

“But we went away for a couple of days and came back stronger.”
