£100m con deal

-

AN extra £100million is to be pumped into the fight against crime in tomorrow’s Budget.

Some of the cash will pay for the latest tagging technology to keep track of convicted offenders and even monitor if they have drunk alcohol.

Speaking ahead of his first Budget, Chancellor Rishi Sunak said: “Keeping our streets safe is one of the people’s priorities.

“At Budget we will go even further with new funding to toughen up community sentences.”
