LIAM Gallagher’s son, Ringo Starr’s grandson and their model pal are trying to get an assault case against them dropped.

Gene Gallagher, 18, Sonny Starkey, 19, and Noah Ponte, 19, appeared in court yesterday charged with brawling in a supermarket in their swanky north London suburb.

But the celebrity trio, who are each represented by different barristers, are expected to put in a string of formal applications to dismiss all charges against them.

An earlier hearing at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court in north London heard that Ponte tried to steal a can of beer from a Tesco Express store in Hampstead.

He was accused of hurling abuse at staff and allegedly told an Indian worker: “You bloody Indians. Go back to where you came here.”

Meanwhile, his pals, Gallagher and Starkey were said to have “windmilled” down the aisle at a shop worker who was trying to stop them from leaving the store.

Starkey, Ponte and Gallagher all face charges of affray and assault.

Gallagher and Ponte also face charges of racially aggravated assault, and Ponte has been charged with one count of theft.

Ringo Starr’s son, Jason, appeared in court to support his boy. But neither of Gene’s parents – Oasis star Liam and Nicole Appleton – were seen.

The hearing at Wood Green Crown Court, north London, was adjourned to November 6.

All three defendants granted bail. from.
