‘Driver tried to kill trio’
A SUSPECT has been charged with the attempted murder of three pedestrians who were struck by a car as they left a pub.
One of the victims, aged in his 40s, is in a critical condition in hospital.
Police said the incident, which took place in the early hours of Sunday, is being linked to an altercation between two groups of people inside the Waterlily pub in Ipswich.
Thomas Broughton, 31, of Ipswich, has been charged with three counts of attempted murder and one of dangerous driving.
He was remanded in custody at Suffolk Magistrates’ Court to April 6.
