Wife in cliff fall tragedy

A WOMAN on holiday to celebrate her 50th birthday fell from a cliff to her death.

Tracy Knott and husband Jonathan left a campsite to go on a pub crawl.

The couple, of Kirkheaton, West Yorks, were tracked on CCTV and were said to be “staggering a lot of the time”.

An inquest heard that Tracy, due to be 50 three days later, was found in the sea below cliffs in Brixham, Devon, and had struck rocks. She died of multiple injuries.

Coroner Ian Arrow told the Plymouth inquest she “went too close to the edge”. He recorded an open conclusion, saying there was “no one to blame or anything suspicious”.
