Traders forget £1.7bn
WHITE van men lose up to £1.7billion in forgotten invoices every year.
A poll of 500 microbusinesses found more than a third forgot to invoice a client with one in 12 bills worth at least £1,000 and half over £250.
Nearly 15% still take cash, with 31.5% of those saying they have lost a customer because of it, the study by 3Gem for banking app Amaiz found. A third also struggle getting paid.
Matt Goddard, of Amaiz, said: “We know that microbusinesses and sole traders are working long hours and bookkeeping is an added burden at the end of the working day.”
