PALE RIDER ★★★★ (1985) ITV4, 9pm Director and star Clint Eastwood puts a mystical spin on his Man With No Name persona in this classic western about a mysterious preacher with impressive gunfighting skills who helps defend a mining camp from an unscrupulous landowner. Michael Moriarty, Carrie Snodgress and Richard Dysart also star.

GET HARD ★★★ (2015) 5Star, 11.55pm Will Ferrell is a very believable idiot in this patchy buddy comedy. He plays a bent banker who prepares for a stint in prison by paying Kevin Hart’s car washer to toughen him up. As nice guy Hart is only pretending to be a hardnut, amusing hijinx ensue. Craig T Nelson, Edwina Findley and Alison Brie also star.
