Dad has a secret mistress

MY father has been having an affair for years. He’s asked me to keep it a secret, but why should I?

I only found out the truth when my husband and I spotted him in a city bar. He was stroking the hair of a younger woman.

Now he’s admitted that he’s been cheating on my darling mum since 2016. It’s all about sex.

Apparently mum went off sex after her hysterectomy in 2015 and his mistress gives him what he needs.

When I tell him he’s disgusting he says: “I’m only human.”

How dare he put me through this?

What did he think was going to happen? Now you’re being burdened with his secret.

Go back to him and tell him that this is not fair. Why should you be asked to lie to your own mother?

If their marriage is in crisis, then that’s something he needs to speak to her about and deal with.

Tell him he has to stop being a coward.

Who does he wish to live with?

He can’t have it both ways if that hasn’t been agreed with your mum.
