Traore to put off op
WOLVES have revealed they are doing everything in their power to stop Adama Traore having to have surgery.
The flying winger, 24, has dislocated his shoulder three times recently and boss Nuno Espirito Santo admits he is worried.
Surgery may be the long-term solution but Nuno (below with Traore) says the club’s medical experts are pulling out all the stops to prevent that.
Nuno said: “I’m worried but I’m hopeful he can stay with us competing without needing surgery.
“The situation is difficult. Every time it happens, it’s a very painful moment for him. “He’s doing OK and he’s ready to play. It’s very painful when it happens but after it settles down he’s been able to train and compete.
“There are solutions for this injury before an operation.
“We’re trying to solve it and trying to control it but contact happens sometimes and things just happen.”
Traore’s pace and power have been a key weapon for Wolves this season and Nuno is wise to the fact that Olympiakos could target the player’s weak spot in Thursday’s Europa League clash.
But skipper Conor Coady knows Traore’s value to the club and his contribution to what they have achieved so far this season.
He said: “Adama excites everybody, whether he starts or comes on. The crowd sing his name.
“He’s a fantastic footballer and is always going to help this team.
“Adama brings excitement, so does Diogo Jota, so does Raul Jimenez, so we’ve got a good forward line.” (right)
