FLORIDA County Commission­er Bryant Culpepper has been left humiliated after offering unusual advice in the fight against coronaviru­s during an emergency session.

He told how, after seeing a video, the nasal passages are cool, but if you can heat them enough “the virus just falls apart and disintegra­tes”.

“So you hold a blow dryer in front of your face, and you inhale with your nose, and it kills all the viruses in your nose,” Culpepper said.

“That sounds like a simplified way of doing things, but sometimes the cures for some of the diseases are very simple.”

A PIZZA Hut employee made up a story that he fought off a robber, hoping to get a pay rise.

After making a 911 call, 26 armed Howell Township police officers raced to the scene hoping to catch the alleged gunman.

But after they reviewed CCTV footage, the New Jersey employee said he has made up the story because he “wanted to look favourable with corporate”.

Now sacked, the man is out of dough for his pizzas and dough for his wallet. D’oh!

RED Dwarf star Danny John-jules reckons the series should be hailed as Britain’s first diverse comedy.

The show, with black Danny and Craig Charles plus Chris Barrie and Robert Llewellyn, is on Dave as a film on April 9.

Danny told Radio Times: “It was totally ahead of its time. A bastion of diversity in television.”

A TV Licensing spokesman said: “Some households still like to watch a black and white telly.”
