LATEST BAND OF BROTHERS

CHRIS MCKENNA

CHARLIE and Sunny Edwards are the latest in a long list of brilliant British boxing brothers.

And the plan is to one day have both of them fighting for world titles on the same bill.

This week we announced the signing of former WBC flyweight champion Charlie, 27, to our stable.

We have already been guiding the career of his highly-rated younger sibling Sunny, 24.

Now we are delighted to have both of them on one team and it promises to be an exciting journey.

Sunny has really impressed me as a professional and has built up a solid 14-0 record while also wanting to take tough fights.

He is an ambitious young boxer who is exciting to watch.

Charlie (left in our picture) has already reached the top at 8st by claiming the flyweight title but it has been clear he was struggling to make the weight.

Now our ambition is to make him a multiple-weight world champion.

There is a real belief that once he moves up to super-flyweight and maybe bantamweight that he will have more power in his shots too.

We fought very hard to get him on our team and we believe he can be a world champion again very soon.

And with his brother, we have another pair of fine fighting siblings.

There are the Smiths, Selbys, Yafais and don’t forget the Dubois siblings. Daniel is the heavyweight sensation, while his sister Caroline is a future Olympic medallist.

While going back in history, you’ve had the Finnegan brothers and the Hattons – Ricky and Matthew.

Charlie and Sunny are the latest duo and hopefully we can see them both win world titles in one night.
