Primark praised

-

COMEDIANS faced with a sea of cars rather than smiling faces are being forced to rethink the art of stand-up. Drive-in gigs have sprung up across Britain while indoor venues are shut.

BUSINESSES have been urged to follow clothing giant Primark by rejecting £30million in furlough “bonuses”.

The Government pledged £1,000 to firms for each job saved.

Primark furloughed 30,000 staff, but made £900m profits last year.

John Lewis furloughed 14,000 staff and is expected to reject £14m.

Union boss Frances O’grady praised firms declining public cash.
