Scooby lacks Great acclaim

-

KENNEL Club bosses have warned the popularity of Great Danes – like Scoobydoo – is at its lowest level in 50 years.

Just 855 pups were registered last year, but experts hope new movie Scoob! might revive the breed, whose demand soared when the cartoon dog hit TV in 1969.

Bill Lambert, from the Kennel Club, said: “Great Danes, just like Scooby-doo, can be gentle giants when raised in the right environment.”
