Pair inspired Scarlett after cruel attacks

SCARLETT Moffatt has thanked Ant and Dec for bringing her “back to life” after suffering from depression caused by cruel trolls.

The Geordie star, 29, claims the TV duo helped her “be herself” after she was attacked on social media over how she looks.

The ex-gogglebox star said: “I felt lost and like I didn’t know who I was any more. They told me: ‘No... be you!’”

Scarlett’s spiral into a dark place came after she won I’m A Celebrity in 2016.

The curvy lass had brought out a fitness DVD showing off her new slim figure but it was exposed as a sham as she had secretly been to a boot camp and starved herself on a calorie-limited diet.

Scarlett says she was suffering panic and anxiety attacks until Ant and Dec offered her a job on Saturday Night Takeaway as a co-presenter in 2017.

She said: “I feel so privileged that I have learned from them. Not many people can say that.

“I feel like I own my body again. I don’t have to answer to anyone as to why I want to look the way I do.

“I know I’ve got to do a lot more serious stuff to be taken seriously, but that’s where I want to go now.”
