With the vaults running low on new episodes, TV execs’ creative ways to placate superfans have been a tonic. Strictly star Stacey Dooley waltzes over to Walford for another instalment of EASTENDERS: SECRETS FROM THE SQUARE (8pm, BBC One), with a chat about beard rash with soap couple Ben and Callum, played by Max Bowden and Tony Clay.
The pair gossip about filming their never-ending first snog, with take after take leaving Max complaining that Tony’s facial hair left him a bit raw.

Corrie has wheeled out Jason Manford for CORONATION STREET: WEDDINGS (8.30pm, ITV) to cast a humourous eye over its more than 130 vowexchanges in the past six decades. Of course, Gail Platt comes in for ribbing – with six husbands, she’s had more wedding cake than Betty had hot pots. The title of most-married goes to seven-times-wed Steve Mcdonald. What an unlikely lothario.
With the last episode of BBC1’S Ambulance on this Thursday,
PARAMEDICS: BRITAIN’S LIFESAVERS (9pm, Channel 4) turns on its siren for a new series with heaps of jeopardy – it was filmed during the pandemic. The West Midlands Ambulance service is hit hard – the 111 call centre sees a three-fold increase in calls and managers are forced to deploy student paramedics. Tonight, paramedics Caitlyn, 20, and Sam 21, rush to the side of patients with breathing difficulties, mental health issues and physical frailty, but after just two shifts Caitlyn falls ill with coronavirus symptoms.
