Quick wedding idea shameful

MY parents are so miserly they embarrass me. They are urging my fiancé and I to marry as soon as possible because a maximum of 30 guests will cost them less.

They never liked the idea of contributing to a big wedding and reception for 120. How do I make it clear that I won’t be rushed when they’re nagging non-stop?

JANE SAYS: You want to have the wedding you want. Why don’t you work out a figure with your parents? Get together and agree a sum that you’re all happy with.

Then you can either have the smaller do now or save up and put it towards a larger gathering in the future. End the friction before you all fall out.
