Viewers lap up slip of tongue
BBC weather presenter Carol Kirkwood had viewers in stitches when she accidentally told them she had spotted loads of doggers during a live broadcast.
The 58-year-old became tongue-tied as she tried to say dog walkers and joggers, jumbling the terms up to people’s delight.
She said: “Greenwich Park is one of the oldest enclosed royal parks and look at it – fabulous.
“The sun is beating down and we’ve seen lots of doggers.”
She quickly realised her mistake and added: “Not doggers of course – dog walkers and joggers, around here during the course of this morning.”

The red-faced presenter later tweeted: “That will teach me to try and say joggers and dog walkers in the same sentence!!! Sorry!”
Her BBC pals laughed at her unfortunate slip of the tongue.
Radio 1 Breakfast host Greg James, 34, joked: “Yet further proof that @carolkirkwood is a National Treasure.”
And Dan Walker, 43, from BBC Breakfast and Match Of The Day, added: “Long may she reign.”
Dermot O’leary, 47, was another who couldn’t help but laugh at the mistake, writing online: “Kirkwood never lets you down. “Big love Carol.”
Her fans also enjoyed the gaffe during the segment filmed at Greenwich Park, in south-east London, taking to Twitter in their droves.
One said: choked on my laughing.
“Obviously all the joggers must have already had theirs!”
Another said: “How did you manage to stay so composed, we were in fits?
“A true professional! That was brilliant. How did you keep a straight face? I’d have lost it.”
While a third wrote: “Brilliant Carol, how you kept going I don’t know, gave us all a good laugh amongst the doom and gloom that is the news.”
