SEVILLA boss Julen Lopetegui admits he is scared of Wolves.

The ex-real Madrid and Spain chief is fully aware of the threat posed by Nuno Espirito Santo’s men ahead of their Europa League clash.

Lopetegui said: “They are a tremendous team that has been together for a long time and after Manchester City they are a club that’s spent more than anyone.

“They are all top-level players who have been working with the same coach – that’s why we’re worried about them.

“The way they play, it’s going to force us to play a great game. We will be taken to the limit because they are very powerful. They have proved to be a very, very solid side, so that’s why we are worried about them.”

Lopetegui (inset) does not agree with the view that his five-time winners of the trophy start out as favourites.

He added: “Both teams will have to be at their top level. It’s going to be a highly competitive match.

“We are really looking forward to it but we will have to try to overcome the problems they will give us.

“Whatever we did against Roma will have no bearing on things. We have to be ready and trust ourselves.

“We will need the will to try and get the better of them and that won’t be easy for a number of reasons.”

Lopetegui said Wolves only had themselves to blame for not clinching a European spot via the Premier League after losing out to Spurs on goal difference.

“It’s only a few mistakes that prevented them doing that,” he added. “They have a great coach and they are at a very, very high level.

“We are excited but this is a different kind of quarterfinal. It’s one tie against a very good side.

“It’s never been like this before in the history of the tournament so we have to adapt and be ready.”
