RUBEN NEVES says Wolves are ready to upset Europa League royalty and take their place at the top table.

Tonight’s opponents Sevilla have won the competition a record five times. Nuno Espirito Santo’s men tackle the Spanish side in the last eight and Neves

from DAVE ARMITAGE in Duisburg says they are on a journey that they don’t want to end.

Sevilla and Real Madrid are the only sides to defend the title but Neves says past history counts for nothing. He said: “Sevilla have won it before, but 2003, admitted: “If I keep bowling the way I did last week, the opportunity to retire will be taken out of my hands.” But the 38-year-old it’s a different tournament now. ■ wants to reach 600 Test wickets – he is just 10 short of the landmark – and surpass Sir Alastair Cook’s record 161 caps.

Ahead of Thursday’s second Test at the Ageas Bowl, he will consult his accomplice in the new-ball double act which has yielded 1,097 wickets between them, after Broad’s match-winning response to being dropped against West Indies last month.

“We’ve inspired each other throughout our careers, pushed each other and supported each other.

“To be honest, I don’t think we would have got the same amount of wickets without the other one being there.

“We have a lot to be thankful for and I’ll continue to help Broady if I can.”

England will be forced into at least one change at Southampton after star all-rounder Ben Stokes (right) was given compassionate leave to attend to urgent family issues in New Zealand.

Anderson said: “It’s a huge blow for us because Ben is a big part of our team on and off the field, but family comes first.”
