PARIS Hilton says she was “hit, strangled and grabbed” by five “abusive” ex- boyfriends.
The American socialite has previously discussed the emotional and mental abuse she received while attending Provo Canyon School in Utah.
And now Paris, 39, has opened up about the alleged abuse she went through with some of her exes.
She told US magazine People: “I went through multiple abusive relationships.
“I was strangled, I was hit, I was grabbed aggressively. I put up with things no- one should.”
The Simple Life star will be diving deeper into the abuse she suffered in her upcoming Youtube documentary This Is Paris.
She said: “I had become so used to
[ abuse] at Provo that it made me feel like it was normal. They all seemed like such nice guys and then the true colours would show.
“They’d get jealous or defensive or try to control me. And there would come a point where they would become physically, verbally and emotionally abusive.
“I didn’t really understand what love or relationships were.”
Paris added: “I thought that them getting so crazy meant that they were in love with me.
“Looking back, I can’t believe I let people treat me like that.” However, the Hilton hotels heiress has finally found true happiness with her boyfriend of nine months, 39- year- old entrepreneur Carter Reum. Paris said: “I feel so safe with him. Before, I don’t think I was really ready for a good relationship.
“But I’ve learned so much. And I’m so grateful to have found my perfect match.”
This Is Paris is set to give an inside look into her day- to- day life.
It debuts on Monday, September 14 on Hilton’s Youtube channel.
