Corbyn’s a clown too

JEREMY Corbyn has been sus- pended from the Labour Party in the wake of an anti- Semitism row.
The move came over the former Labour leader’s reaction to a damning report during his leadership, released yesterday.
Mr Corbyn said: “The scale of the problem was dramatically overstated for political reasons by our opponents inside and outside the party.”
The Equality and Human Rights Commission’s report found the party broke equality law in its handling of anti- Semitism.
The investigation also revealed the party was responsible for unlawful acts of harassment and discrimination.
It found evidence of “political interference” by then leader Mr Corbyn’s office in the complaints process. In response to his suspension, Islington North MP Mr Corbyn said that Jewish Labour members were right to expect the party to deal with anti- Semitism. He added: “I regret that it took longer to deliver that change than it should.” Current Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer said the findings marked a “day of shame” for the party and he was “truly sorry”. He said: “If, after all the evidence in this report, there are still those who think there’s no problem with anti- Semitism in the Labour Party, then, frankly, you are part of the problem too.” Mr Corbyn tweeted: “I will contest the political intervention to suspend me.”
The former leaders’ supporters donated £ 10,000 to a “legal fund” in just one day. The Go Fund Me page, set up in July by a supporter, now stands at over £ 340,000.
