RUSS HAS ICE SPIN

-

OPERA singer Russell Watson spins for his supper – strapped to a giant rotisserie spit.

But the star failed to impress as he only won five meals in I’m A Celeb’s Rancid Rotisserie trial. He was forced to answer questions read out by Ant and Dec while being spun around and dipped in ice cold batter.

Back at camp, Russell, 54, said: “It was worse than I was expecting – it was absolutely freezing.”

COLEEN Nolan says she expected her ex- husband Shane Richie to “lose his cool” in the I’m A Celeb camp but now hopes he makes the final because behind “the bravado” it will mean a lot to him.

The couple were married for nine years in the 90s and had two sons together.

They remain friends and the TV presenter has been following his castle adventures closely.

Speaking to her son Shane Jnr, she said: “Can I just say how proud I am of your dad? He is doing brilliantly. He is very funny and he has kept his cool.

“I thought he would have lost his cool by now. He gets bored very easily.”

Coleen believes doing well on the ITV show this year would be a real career

BRAVADO: Shane

boost for the former Eastenders actor.

She added: “I would love Shane to be in the top three. As much as he puts on this bravado, I know it would mean a lot.” HOLLIE Arnold shed the pounds in camp despite being the first celebrity out.

She revealed: “I have lost nearly a stone so I am pretty happy. Rice and beans was hard the first few days – I thought hungry Hollie would come out. But it was OK.” RUTHIE Henshall has hit back at claims the trials are easier this year.

She said: “From your home maybe it looks different but they are really difficult. There are trials where you are beaten to a pulp by offal.”
