Riot over late-goal willy wag
A FOOTBALLER sparked a riot by stripping off and waving his willy in a last-minute goal celebration.
Emerson Carioca triggered a 22-player brawl after giving fans an eyeful following his dramatic strike.
The 25-year-old has now been slapped with an eight-match ban for his over-the-top antics.
He ripped his top off and dropped his shorts after netting for Brazilian side Sampaio Correa to send his side into the Rio de Janeiro second division play-off final.
He then turned towards the crowd before waving his manhood and mooning at them – sparking a brawl on and off the pitch.
Taunts
Emerson claimed he was provoked after being taunted by rival Marica supporters.
He said: “They have been slandering me for the past three matches I’ve played against them.
“They’ve called me a slob, an alcoholic and a fat monkey. I was annoyed at what went on.”
The cheeky star later begged forgiveness from his own fans after admitting he was in the wrong.
He said: “I want to ask forgiveness from Sampaio Correa’s fans, my team-mates, and also Marica’s fans, players and everyone who loves football.
“I deeply regret what happened. I was strongly provoked in both matches. The people in the stands were swearing at me and giving me a lot of bull **** , and I crossed the line. It was not premeditated.”
Emerson was punished by the league for “conduct contrary to sports discipline or ethics”.
