IT’S SNOWMAGGEDON...

-

BRITS will freeze for a week in blizzards so brutally cold they could cause heart attacks.

Ice storms and 50mph winds from the Baltic will plunge parts of the nation into –8C lows with up to 2ft of snow.

Public Health England is warning the cold snap – dubbed the Baltic Beast – could be so severe that it might kill.

Dr Owen Landeg said: “The cold can increase heart attacks, strokes and chest infections.”

Yesterday, drivers stranded on the A835 near Ullapool in Scotland had to be rescued.

And south east England faces a blizzard warning just hours after the region was hit by floods, with one car submerged in Brentwood, Essex.
