A HUGE fossilised bone found on a British beach could belong to the biggest elephant ever to have lived.

An expert says Luke and Joe Ferguson’s extraordinary find could be 125,000 years old and belong to the largest mammal to roam the Earth.

The brothers found it sticking up out of shingle “like a giant chicken bone” after a recent cliff fall on the Isle of Wight near Brighstone.
