John not giving up on Blades

- By DAVID ANDERSON

JOHN LUNDSTRAM insists he is fully committed to keeping Sheffield United up – regardless of where he will be next season.

The midfielder’s future is uncertain as his contract expires in June and he has angered some fans by rejecting United’s new offer.

Lundstram, who is wanted by Rangers and Newcastle, insists nothing has been decided and that he remains totally focused on helping the Blades in their relegation fight.

“Everything is still on the table,” he said.

“While I’m here, I’m committed, I always give everything.”

Lundstram, 26, who joined United on a free from Oxford in 2017, claims the players are desperate to avoid a relegation on their CV.

The Blades, who face Chelsea tomorrow, are 11 points from safety but have given themselves a lifeline with a run of three wins from five games.

“Whether it’s your first season as a pro or your last, no player wants a relegation on his CV,” said Lundstram.

“We will all fight to try and get out of this. It’s going to be tough but there’s a bit of hope.”
