Care homes, schools and businesses are all speaking to tech companies about them.
Firms iproov and Mvine, which have had a £75,000 grant from the Government, are developing certification using facial recognition.
Andrew Bud, iproov’s chief, said: “Think how much safer you will make communities of people if only vaccinated people are allowed to physically mix with those communities.”
But Peter Cheese, of HR professional body the CIPD, warned: “The UK Government hasn’t made the vaccine compulsory, so neither can employers.”
