RIVALRY WITH PAL GINO GETS HOTTER
A NEW rivalry is simmering between Gino D’acampo and Gordon Ramsay.
The chefs are both trying to carve out careers as game show hosts.
Gino took over from Vernon Kay on Family Fortunes and now Gordon is set to front new series Bank Balance.
But Gordon has declared he doesn’t want to be anything like his pal.
He said: “I didn’t get any advice from Gino. It would be weak to copy. This is a brand new show with new stuff that hasn’t been done before. And I just can’t f***ing understand a word Gino says!” Gordon reckons Gino only got the job on Family Fortunes didn’t have much choice.
He joked: “Vernon Kay f***ed off to the Jungle for a few weeks, so he wasn’t available to host Family Fortunes. So they asked Gino to stand in. So he got his platforms in his shoes and he stood in.
“Gino had big shoes to fill when you consider the level of talent that was there before him. But he’s actually done quite a decent job. And it’s rated quite well.”
Gordon will be out to prove he can do a better job when Bank Balance kicks off later this month.
