BRIAN’S JOINING ENDERS
DANCING on Ice has been pulled from this weekend’s schedules.
Bosses axed Sunday’s live episode after a string of celebrity contestants were hit by injuries.
They hope the move will allow everyone to recover, so they can return to the skating contest next week.
Four celebs have had to quit the series already due to injuries and coronavirus, and singer Jason Donovan missed last Sunday’s show with a back injury.
A spokeswoman said: “ITV has taken the decision to pause Dancing on Ice this week.
“Each week, our production team and cast have delivered a fantastic show during challenging times.
“The welfare of all of those involved is important to us and we felt it prudent to take a week’s break at this juncture.”
A PATCH that can be worn on the neck to track blood pressure and heart rate has been developed.
It can also measure the wearer’s glucose level as well as the levels of lactate, alcohol or caffeine.
Experts say it is the first wearable device that monitors cardiovascular signals and multiple biochemical levels in the human body at the same time.
Professor Joseph Wang, of America’s University of California, said: “We can collect so much information with this one wearable and do so in a non-invasive way, without causing discomfort or interruptions to daily activity.”
A POLICE detective is facing 44 misconduct charges including sexually harassing junior officers.
The unnamed married officer is accused of telling one colleague on a night out he wanted to “f*** her” and asking her to send him naked pictures of herself.
The Avon and Somerset officer, who is also said to have groped and kissed a fellow officer on the lips without her permission, is facing a week-long disciplinary hearing in Bristol.
