PUBLICITY-SHY COUPLE TO TELL ALL TO OPRAH.. YES, REALLY!
THIS MIGHT CAUSE A BIT OF A KERFUFFLE..
A PUBLICITY-SHY couple are trying to stay out of the limelight by telling TV queen Oprah Winfrey about their totally normal lives.
A FIERCELY private couple have decided to talk to chat show queen Oprah Winfrey about their new life out of the public eye.
The pair, who quit the limelight and moved to showbiz capital Los Angeles last year, will be interviewed next month for CBS.
The cosy chat will be viewed by billions around the world.
CBS said A-lister Oprah will speak one-to-one with the actress, who chose Valentine’s Day to announce that she is pregnant with her second child.
Oprah – a guest when the couple tied the knot at an intimate, lowkey £32million ceremony in 2018 – will then speak to the duo “about their move to the US and their future hopes and dreams”.
Last night telly presenter Piers Morgan laid into the “hypocrisy” of the couple.
The Good Morning Britain host tweeted: “BREAKING: The Duke & Duchess of Privacy have given an exclusive ‘wide-ranging’ primetime interview about their private lives to Oprah Winfrey for a 90-minute special airing on CBS on March 7.. This is beyond parody, but true.”
Piers also defended our front page reporting the pregnancy announcement.
He added: “The Star front page isn’t nasty or abusive or wishing someone dead. It’s funny, and part of a running joke they’ve done for a while.
“The pair of them crave attention and publicity like ravenous jackals gorging on the carcass of a freshly slain gazelle.”
ITV’S Loose Women also waded into the debate. Journalist Jane Moore blasted the pair, saying: “They’ve moved to the paparazzi centre of the world.”
Pop star Frankie Bridge admitted she wouldn’t have known the woman was pregnant but for the publicity the photo generated.
