TV gobster Piers Morgan enjoyed his first Monday morning as an EX-GMB presenter by going to war with the world. And Jedward.
PIERS Morgan declared war on “talentless disrespectful clowns” Jedward after they called for Sir Winston Churchill’s statue to be dumped in his garden.
The Irish pop twins, who shot to stardom on The X Factor in 2009, tweeted: “Get that Winston Churchill statue and f *** it into Piers Morgan’s back garden.
“It has no place in today’s society.’’ A hero to millions for his Second World War leadership, Churchill’s support for Empire has recently sparked criticism.
His Parliament Square statue was daubed with the word “racist” during Black Lives Matter protests last year.
Morgan, 55, who has been slammed for his attacks on a publicity-shy woman, blasted back: “I’d be honoured to have that statue in my garden.
“Churchill saved Britain from the Nazis and contributed more to society every time he breathed than you talentless disrespectful clowns have done in your combined 58 years of gormless imbecility.’’
Morgan appeared to win his war of words with John and Edward Grimes, 29,
who released four Jedward albums before becoming TV presenters.
One Morgan fan said: “Blimey, wait till you find out how bad was the bloke with the moustache who Churchill defeated.”
Another told them: “Winston Churchill achieved more during his life than you ever will,” while a third added: “Yes, Churchill was racist, but he got us through the worst period in time ever.”
