DIY KINKY LIT’S A BIG HIT FOR MUM

LOVELY BUBBLY CHRISTIE Writer found 50 Shades a huge turn-off

A BORED mum-of-three who hated Fifty Shades of Grey has gone on to pen a surprise erotica bestseller.

Stephanie Oram, 50, has sold over 1,000 copies of comical Wax, Whips and My Hairy Bits – gaining lots of five star Amazon reviews. She says she loathed an excerpt from Fifty Shades of Grey she saw on Facebook. So, despite never having read erotica, she set about writing a randy novel for “the average woman”.

The book has been a hit with other mums stuck inside during lockdown.

Stephanie, of Blackpool, Lancs, said: “When I read the snippet of Fifty Shades, I just thought – ew!

“That’s not what women are like! Do these women never snag their tights or chip a fingernail?

“I just read that excerpt – I’ve never read erotic novels myself, it’s not a genre I’ve ever indulged in.

“I’m more of a Stephen King girl!

“I just had this whole scenario in my head after reading that one snippet. If someone slapped me on the arse with a horse whip, what would I do?

“If I’m honest, I’d probably turn around and punch them in the face!

“That’s where the idea started. I thought, why don’t I write comedy based on a normal, everyday woman and her attempts to emulate all the erotic goddesses in these books?”

Husband Lindsay, 51, has yet to read his wife’s naughty book, but Stephanie says her mum Evelyn Hennerley, 83, is now her No1 fan.

Stephanie, who handles the admin for Lindsay’s architectural business, is now publishing two sequels.

BALD and almost blind terrier Jay looks longingly into the camera as he searches for a new home.

Even RSPCA bosses admit the nine-year-old West Highland, who also has allergies and wees everywhere, looks “strange”. He was brought in by a pensioner who could no longer care for him. A spokesman for the charity said: “He is a cheeky little Westie who has been left hairless due to skin and allergy problems. “He occasionally has accidents in the home so will need regular walks and toilet breaks in the garden.”

Carmen Cole, of the charity’s rescue shelter in Buxton, Derbys, said: “Jay is a true Westie – cheeky, affectionate and a real character.

“He is an absolute sweetheart and will make such a wonderful pet or companion for the right person.”

A GECKO sticks out its tongue and appears to grin as a cheeky mantis sits on its head.

Snapper Dzul Dzulfikri, 48, of Indonesia, said: “The mantis was trying to escape, but sat on the reptile instead. “And instead of trying to eat it, the gecko smiled as if it was happy to find a new friend.”
