Cook who faked crime & sparked cop probe caged
A MAN who sparked a massive police investigation by pretending to be kidnapped to skive off work has been jailed.
Cook Mariusz Kaminski sent a number of texts manager saying he had been held against his will.
The 36-year-old claimed he had been kidnapped by three men and bundled into a white BMW.
The Polish native said he had escaped his captors and then hid in a hedge for half an hour before walking to a hospital.

Crown Court heard.
Kaminski was sentenced to
16 months in jail for making up the bizarre tale.
The chef, of Trowbridge,
Wilts, was convicted by a
Swindon jury of perverting the course of justice and fraud by false representation.
Sending the father of one into custody, recorder Roger
Harris said: “This is an unusual, bizarre and ultimately rather sad case.”
Kaminski’s story was that he owed £1,500 called Kenny.
He said that he was kidnapped by three black men and bundled into a white BMW X6, adding that they had then driven him to Marlborough in search of a cash point.
His female friend took out a loan and gave him more than £1,600 after hearing that his family could still be at risk from the “kidnappers”.
