We’re Bugsey eyed for Rita!
BRIT NOMINEES WANT REET MEET
TRIPLE BRIT Award nominees Young T & Bugsey are hoping Rita Ora makes an appearance at next month’s ceremony.
One half of the grime duo, Bugsey, confessed to being one of Reets’ many admirers and he has been plotting ways to get her attention.
He’s been toying with the idea of messaging her for months now, but is hoping to catch her eye naturally... The Don’t Rush hitmaker told me: “Hopefully Rita will have a drink with us... “I could slide into her DMS but maybe not yet, I’ve got to give it a year and see what she says. “Maybe like some old pictures on her Instagram so she knows I’ve been looking... is that creepy?”
An appearance from Rita at the BRIT Awards is looking unlikely as she’s spent most of the year in Sydney filming for The Voice Australia, and failed to get a single nod herself this year. But perhaps she’ll watch the boys from home and seeing them nominated for British Single, Group and Breakthrough will be enough to pique Rita’s interest. Either way, the guys are keen to celebrate and say their boozy rider requests always gets the party going. Bugsey smiled: “You can put anything on your rider. “Normally we just have Ciroc, a bit of Henny [Hennessy cognac], champagne as well. “It’s a party man”. They do think of their health too: “We also have fruit and water.
“It’s essential. You need to balance it out.” The dynamic duo have a lot to celebrate after landing three Top 20s and collaborations with the likes of Aitch, Headie One and Fredo.
Speaking about their three nods Bugsey exclaimed: “Wow, wow, wow, so we’re going to the BRITS, wow that’s crazy. Three nominations, that’s massive!”
It’s been a long time coming.
