THESE new microscopic images show how the Oxford/astrazeneca vaccine turns cells into “little factories” to fight off the Covid-19 virus.

Scientists from the universities of Oxford and Southampton examined thousands of images to compare how the protein from the jab develops.

The study’s Prof Max Crispin said: “Many people may not realise how their cells become little factories manufacturing viral spikes that trigger the immune response. The vaccine is doing its job.”
