NHS HEROES TRIBUTE

NHS heroes who helped Britain battle Covid will take centre stage at today’s Grand National Festival opening.

The first day of the three-day meeting has been named Livepool’s NHS Day in honour of the medics on the frontline of the fight against the virus.

Dickon White, of the Jockey Club, said the move was “a small way to show our gratitude”.
