SHY FOLKS’ PAL ‘AXED’ BY HIS BRO
Wills feels let down by him
PRINCE William is no longer pals with ITV host Tom Bradby after the journalist sided with his publicityshy brother, a royal source claims. Wills is said to have ended the 20-yearold friendship after the journalist backed the LA couple in the war of the Windsors. Bradby, below, is said to chat regularly over the phone to the shy pair.
The source said: “The friendship between William and Tom is over. The Duke feels let down by Bradby and the way he’s acted over the past few months. “William is a sensitive soul and believes it’s in times of crisis when you find out who your true friends are. It would be fair to say Bradby hasn’t been one of them.” Bradby, 54, hosted a 2019 ITV documentary in which Mrs Shy complained: “Not many
people have asked if I’m OK. It has really been a struggle.”
Mr Shy also told Bradby he and William were “on different paths at the moment”.
The reporter is believed to have helped ITV clinch the UK rights to broadcast Oprah Winfrey’s interview with the pair.
The chat included claims that a senior royal had made racist comments about their future child’s skin colour.
The royal source added: “Some staff at the Palaces are even angrier about Bradby and the tone of his reporting at ITV News, which they consider to be pro [the couple].
“It’s been very difficult to accept given the long history between Bradby and William.”
Wills was once so close to Tom that he was chosen to interview him and Kate Middleton in 2010. Kensington Palace and ITV News yesterday declined to
comment.
