POLICE rescued a woman with a text 999 system normally used by deaf people.

A friend of the alleged victim told call handlers a man was threatening her pal but hung up without giving an address.

Police got the information from her via text so the suspect was not alerted, then swooped on a house in Shirebrook, Derbys.
