Tired of my lazy family

I’M the only one in our household working or bringing in any money.

As well as my wife there is my son (19), his girlfriend (18) and my two daughters from my first marriage (22 and 20).

The minute I put my key in the lock they all start nagging me.

Can I order a new barbecue and mow the lawn so that they can start using the garden?

The other night I was in the bath when my wife marched in moaning that the washing machine is playing up.

She has access to our money, why can’t someone else step up for a change?

JANE SAYS: You have to call a house meeting.

Everyone needs to be assigned jobs in order to get your home running smoothly.

Any of your kids could mow that lawn.

I suspect you need to let go of the reins and encourage them to think for themselves.

If you’ve always called the shots and made everything happen – now is the time to encourage them to be more self-sufficient and grown up.

Draw up some rotas and lists and stick to them.
