NICE WON MASON
Record man Mount sparks Blues cruise
MASON MOUNT became a record breaker as Chelsea put a foot in the Champions League semi-finals.
The England midfielder’s first-half strike made him the club’s youngest ever goalscorer in a knockout tie in the competition.
Mount, 22, now has five goals under Thomas Tuchel – no other Chelsea player has scored more for the German boss.
Christian Pulisic then hit the crossbar before Ben Chilwell scored a second away goal to put the Blues well in control.
It was the England full-back’s first goal in the competition and it put his team firmly in the driving seat.
Tuchel was looking for a response after Chelsea’s shock 5-2 defeat at home to
West Brom – and he got just that.
