Tragic TV star’s ex sobs as he toasts memory

BIG Brother star Pete Bennett broke down and wept while paying an emotional tribute to tragic ex-girlfriend Nikki Grahame.
It was announced on Saturday that the TV star had died aged 38 after a long, harrowing battle with anorexia.
Pete, 39, who was pictured with Nikki just last month, said she will be “sorely missed” and thanked the public for their “heartwarming” donations to a fundraiser set up to help her with her battle, which hit over £60,000.
In a moving post Pete, whose romance with Nikki gripped the nation on the Channel 4 reality show in 2006, said: “I thought, ‘Yeah we could save her,’ but we couldn’t.
“But it’s OK she’s in a good place and she’s not suffering any more. So I’d just like to raise a f***ing glass, or bottle of wine more like, for Nikki.”
He then added through tears: “All the love from us at Big Brother Seven, we really love you Nikki and you were a true winner, man, you were really great, you f***ing rocked it, babes.
“Just want to say we’ll miss you babe. See you later, Nikki.”
Tourette’s sufferer Pete, who appeared with Nikki on Big Brother in 2006, captioned his heartbreaking tribute: “R.I.P Nikk Thank you for Carly Cunningham and Leon for starting the Amazing Nikki fundraiser.”
Pete had shared a photo taken with Nikki in March in which they smiled together in a warm embrace.
He wrote alongside the image: “Pete and Nikki March 2021. Visiting my nikki and still cuddling to this day :).”
Nikki said in June last year that she “loved” Pete but their relationship was “never meant to be”.
Other Big Brother stars paying tribute to tragic Nikki included fellow series seven housemate Aisleyne Horgan-wallace and the show’s host Davina Mccall.
